They assess diabetes patients every step of the way from appointing and overseeing the treatment and answering any questions you might have, to referring you to other medical specialists when needed, such as a dietitian or nutritionist, ophthalmologist, or others. When to see an Endocrinologist & Diabetologist
Usually you will be referred to a diabetes specialist by your GP if she suspects that you might have diabetes. You might need to see a diabetes specialist on a regular basis if you are diagnosed with diabetes. If you experience any of the diabetes symptoms from the list, talk to your GP to see if you should see a diabetes specialist:
